The headboard Dike with unusually-size, is a distinctive element that creates a new furniture category. Antonio Citterio imagined two panels, ending with two mobile elements, anchored by an elegant full-height hinge. This headboard becomes a theatrical backdrop or a structural element which is made even more sophisticated by the upholstery. Dike uses an ad-hoc designed fabric, with an enhanced three-dimensional and visible texture similar to a woven horizontal band tapestry making light and colour visual effects which fade gently into each other. The harmonious design of the Bretagne sofa is the result of a subtle yet successful balance of different materials: a comfortable, deep seat enriched with numerous soft cushions with removable fabric covers, and a rigorous and minimalist shell upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather. The seat of the Jay Lounge armchair is modelled around the body. The geometries are organic yet taut and sculpted. The backrest and seat are independent of each other. The base, designed ad hoc and die-cast, permits 360° rotation with automatic return to the starting position. The seat structure is in moulded rigid polyurethane reinforced with metal inserts. The padding is in moulded polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The 4-spoke swivel base is made from aluminium and is available in the blasted-burnished and polished finishes. Pelle Frau® leather upholstery with refined tone-on-tone stitching that embellishes the surface. Jay Lounge is also available in a version with manual recliner mechanism for adjusting the angle of the backrest. The Volare Due bed has a triangular profile in solid ash wood with moka finish. The bed frame is in tulipwood and entirely upholstered in Cuoio Saddle Extra or Pelle Frau® leather, just like the headboard, which is made of solid beech with internal crossbars in birch plywood and infill with hardboard panels. The headboard is attached to the structure using metal spacers with gunmetal grey finish and held in place using plates with the same finish. In the version with a 41 cm seat height, Dock is a collection of upholstered elements with a multiple soul, rendered highly flexible by the countless configurations made possible by the numerous elements included in the collection. This horizontally-spanning project is underscored by a highly textured platform: a dynamic element that extends beyond the sides of the sofa to create a support surface. The slender armrests, available in two depths, are generously padded, just like the backrest. The cushions create a play of sizes and proportions, making it possible to put together double-sided, corner and chaise longue compositions, with or without backrests, suitable for use at the centre of the room or for more traditional solutions. Dock comes with a series of accessories offering a vast array of possibilities: it is possible to insert extra elements between the seat cushions, such as comfortable padded armrests, while functional and supporting elements can be placed on the platform, ensuring further customisation possibilities so as to experience and design the system at will. Follow-up: following the refusal of my return, I have filed appropriate claims with the Lithuanian Consumer Rights Protection Authority as well as ECC-Net (the EU authority)
