At first glance, you understand the reason behind the name; there is a darkness that pierces a designer's mind, one that would be normal in a world of superheroes and super villains, Sin Seaty is an acute homage to the graphic illustrators we have come to admire over the years. Look closely and you will notice a harmonious design that picks up on the female silhouette, a quilted back that can be made into any of the Arketipo fabric or leather range and a development of slim lines running throughout the design. Design is never fixed, it's a fluid appreciation of everything around us; who says graphic novels can't be just more inspiration. Sin Seaty is proof of that.

Rich in unique details, a solid top does not detract but add to the base structure; a unique design that captures the refined handcrafted element which is then intersected with the offset metal ring available in a variety of finishes. Greenwich then serves as a greater purpose, one that shows what is possible when you deliver on design and weave through all of its complex permutations.

Taking the concept of the classical with its original design, Manzoni & Tapinassi have created a more streamlined version that makes no excuses for what refinement in a series can be. Whilst the original brings about the whole interior living ideology to one area, Glory console is more to do with balancing experiences and finding a lighter, softer approach to a new design suite. In keeping with the original, thin tops and almost ethereal legs feature heavily whilst the structure is supported with streamlined, intersecting rods from each corner. Coupled with a half and half solution, drawer one side (covered with leather Leonardo) and a shelf on the other, Glory console is about using the classical styles of the past to create something new for today's digital world.

If we were to tell you that we found the inspiration behind this design from a computer game, what would you say? Soap bubbles perhaps? Both? Design has a way of playing with irony, using it and transforming what is, at first, a strange idea into something tangible, new, different. That is Bubble Bobble, inspired by the unusual and with a sense of irony. Recognizable by the three glass spheres of different sizes and available in two distinct finishes, they are supported by thin metal strips, playing with natural light between the spheres artificially created by the shapes. It's an emotional construction, one that senses and creates a room's ambience with ease and elegance, all thanks to a play of a few curious minds.

When people ask about statement pieces, subtlety is rarely ever discussed, and yet Atlas is perhaps one of the grand expressions of form and style. Atlas aims to solve one of the biggest design questions in furniture, how does one get freedom without compromise? The answer lies in this design, an abundance of isometric shapes softened with different forms gets to the core principle, but Atlas is more. It's about bringing together different ideas, ones that capture a space and multiple iterations. Structure is a complex mix of thin, large, high and low arms, back cushions, corner units, chaise-lounges and accessories that blend together to create a cosmopolitan design structure, responding to an ever intricate design brief of modern living.

It's hard not to think about a sofa with such an iconic name that evokes a song title, a way of living or someone you may even know; it was always our intention to create a sofa that was unexpected, that seduces and with Smooth Operator we think we've achieved just that. We're not playing with design, we're using it to define a system of living. We're playing in the realms of contemporary trends and dynamic festivity. What we have created is something that blends the lines of beauty and craftsmanship, creating a system where the cushions accompany the movements of the body thanks to thought out mechanical engineering. As Sade so eloquently put it, “he moves in space with minimum waste and maximum joy” and our own Smooth Operator does that beyond the metaphorical.

Designed like a semi-closed flower, punctuated with large charactful zips and made the Arketipo way by manipulating colours and contrasts, LOL :) is an ode to chat language. Much like chat language, LOL :) is a design that is distinctly its own. Informal, fresh, young, this is not the kind of seat that would be traditionally found in a castle, but homes, every home changes with time. There are new ideas, new motivations, new ways to communicate, so why can't design replicate this as well, a new way to talk? It has, it's called LOL :)

I came across to LineaSelect by mistake and one day I sent them an email to see if they can help me with Devon&Devon bathroom items.
