Fiore di Loto – Céston. Local artisan tradition inspires a sophisticated design project for the table in two textile collections – elegant, practical placemats in two fabrics and two patterns. Together draws upon the handiwork of Myanmar, where the long-neck women start with yarn from lotus flowers to create soft, uneven weaves. The placemats, on the other hand, are reminiscent of the Friulan basket-making tradition, starting with woven wicker which creates geometric patterns based on simple shapes, that forms the support for the plate.

Modular and versatile, thanks to the variety of elements and configurations available, the Mex-Hi system consists of five different sized bases on which the independent cushions - armrests, backrests and seats - are fastened to create corners, in-line or island compositions. Thanks to the study carried out by Cassina LAB, a collaboration between the Cassina Research and Development Centre and Poli.design at the Milan Polytechnic, the sofa is made with innovative materials in order to make it comfortable and more sensitive to the environment. A 100% recycled ibre, deriving from PET mainly recovered from the sea, has been introduced into the cushion padding. The frame is in tubular steel with elastic belts; the upholstery is removable. A freestanding side table and a pouf/table complete the collection.
Collection: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
A timeless style that has written its own chapter in design history, becoming an icon of global fame. Designed for ease of conversation, the armchair was exhibited at the Salon d’Automne [Autumn Salon] in Paris in 1929 as the archetype of the modern concept of furnishings, interpreted by its authors as “household equipment”. The separation between the metal structure and the cushions is consistent with the principles of Rationalism, just as the separation between the parts is based on an industrial approach to production, reminiscent of the architectural relationship between the loadbearing structure and the in-fill elements. These models are also available in an eco-friendly version that stays true to the original design. Thanks to the study conducted by Cassina LAB, a partnership between the Cassina Research and Development Center and the Poli.design consortium of the Politecnico University in Milan, the foam-fill parts, the padding in the cushions and the tubular structure are produced with sustainable materials and processes.
Collection: Hommage À Pierre Jeanneret
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
Cassina continues its study of the furniture of the city of Chandigarh and adds the Kanga-roo low armchair to the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret Collection; a collection that stands out for its essential forms and simple materials, a balance between modern European ide-als and traditional Indian spirit. This low chair, made for the city’s General Hospital Hall but also present in many private houses, is characterised by the "Z" shape of its sides, made up of a sequence of three vaguely triangular coplanar elements placed in continuity. The seat and backrest feature typical weaving inside the wooden frame, for which, in addition to the historic teak version, the Cassina Research and Development Centre offers two fur-ther variants, in natural oak and stained black oak, produced in the company’s historic car-pentry workshop. An optional cushion is available for added protection and comfort.

Inspiration: the precise, flawless, elegant movements of figure skating. Form: an oxymoron of materials and thicknesses. Flutz is the perfect fusion of a rigid, geometric structure and soft, inviting seating. In this, the second project by Michael Anastassiades for Cassina, the armrests of the chair are made up of two thin parallel aluminium sheets, connected by crosspieces upon which sits an invisible plate that serves to stabilize the base and to support the seat which, thus, appears to be suspended. Upholstered in removable leather or fabric, the chair ensures sturdy yet comfortable support, thanks to the shell wrapped in soft padding and encased in recycled PET batting. Based on the work carried out by Cassina LAB, with an eye to circularity, the various parts were designed to be disassembled and recycled at the end of the chair’s life cycle. This includes the upholstery, which can be separated from the encased padding thanks to an internal zipper, and the metal structure with matte finish, available in three dramatic colours: aluminium with powder-coat finish in anthracite or black, or natural anodised. Comfortable and elegant, Flutz pairs perfectly with the Ordinal table, also by the Cyprian designer, rounding out his line of dining products.
Collection: Charles Rennie Mackintosh
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
This iconic chair reflects Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s style and his fearless approach to the most challenging manufacturing processes. Originally a furnishing accessory for one of Mackintosh’s major design projects, Hill House in Helensburgh, near Glasgow, Scotland, from which its name derives. The linear, geometric form is evocative of the minimal, abstract lines of Japanese graphics, which confer symbolic and figurative symbolic value to the piece’s striking visual impact. This piece is seen by many critics as not only a chair but also a veritable treatise on the way space can be articulated. The tall back is defined by a succession of vertical lines that are topped with a grid of verticals and horizontals. Thanks to the mastery of the furnitire makers of Meda, in the Brianza area north of Milan, Cassina has re-issued the Hill House chair, which is available in black-stain ashwood, with a velvet seat-cushion.

The Gaia chair is available with a padded back-rest, as well as in a stool option, both being perfect for soft contract applications.

Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
A collection of contemporary, sculptural dining tables, where the designer’s expertise in metalwork comes together with Cassina’s artisan skills and excellence in joinery. Its clean, minimalist design pairs a super-slim wood top with slender legs in wood or anodized or painted aluminum, placed on the diagonal at the ends of the table to allow more space for the diners. An extraordinary challenge for the company’s Research Center that rose to the occasion with an innovative solution that combines stability, strength and pared-down thicknesses. The line includes two square versions, one oval with lacquer or veneer top and two rectangular versions, one mono-finish in all-marble, or with the top in marble and the legs in aluminum, which adds to the sculptural beauty of the collection. The models with veneer top have an opulent solid wood perimeter.
Collection: Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
The Cotone family has acquired new members to go with the upholstered armchair launched in 2017. These are a slim version of the same, called, not surprisingly, Cotone Slim, as well as a table and chair, the latter having a solid wood seat and back. The products in this collection all feature an extruded aluminium frame characterised by sophisticated industrial details. Thanks to these, the pieces can be mixed and matched, according to one's tastes and requirements. The table, which has a simple yet eye-catching design, comes in four rectangular and one square size, the frame being available in the same colours as the chairs. Distinctive and immediately recognisable, the aluminium frame, both light and strong, conjures an elegant contrast with the natural materials used for the top, and well as with the legs, whose slender lines allow several people to sit around the table in comfort. The new sizes complement, and integrate, the wide range of tables currently belonging to the Cassina catalogue.
Collection: Franco Albini
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
This table, with its minimal lines and an extremely light look, underscores the extensive thought, by Franco Albini, and the advanced wood-working skills, by Cassina, that went into its creation. Its stability based on the principle of opposing forces, the frame looks improvised, volumes and weights having been reduced. Cavalletto, which means trestle in English is assembled using two tensioning rods in burnished brass that also serve for bracing. The intricate construction process, executed by Cassina’s carpenters, illustrates the excellence of the wood-working skills of the craftsmen of Meda. Offering an extremely refined interpretation of form, this vision of elegance shows Cassina’s customary attention to detail extending to the metal parts, not to mention the border trim on the table-top.
Collection: Le Corbusier

This small wooden writing desk was designed for the children’s rooms of the Unité d’Habitation in Nantes-Rezé, a comune in the Loire Atlantique département. Le Corbusier’s interest in promoting the harmonious arrangement of people’s individual and collective lives led him to explore spaces and furniture in-depth, with constant reference to the measurements of the human body calculated using his Modulor system. The LC16 Table de travail consists of a shelving unit and a work-surface, both of them in matte natural-stain oak. The piece can be extended by adding fixed shelves to the table feature.

Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
This low table, with its audacious sculptural look, was designed by Charlotte Perriand on the occasion of the retrospective exhibition of her works held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1985. Originally intended as a one- off, this was among Perriand’s last works. When it joined the Cassina portfolio, Accordo was only available in a black lacquer finish. Today, as fresh-looking as it was when first launched, the colour options include China red and marron glacé. Placing several of these tables together creates highly impactful geometric compositions that play on their proportions to conjure a unique sense of suspension. These clean-cut and visually dynamic shapes can fulfil a number of interpretations in grand style, enabling the object itself to become a centre of attraction.
Collection: Bodil Kjaer

Specifications:
From the postwar period, Danish architect Bodil Kjær opened up her home to a fresh new camaraderie encouraged by versatile furniture that translated the new domestic routines and a renewed need for comfort into tangible designs. Dissatisfied with the fragile, wobbly side tables popular at the time, Bodil Kjær’s pragmatic approach led her to design the set of three stackable, solid wood tables in 1963. With their nested concept and slender yet strong structure, Nest of Tables is an elegant and practical trio that meets the needs of flexible spaces. The table tops are available in many materials and colors, from tempered glass to saddle-hide paired with laminated metal, making the set a perfect match in any surroundings.
