At times, the best thing in the world, the thing we need the most, is a warm embrace. The Cure’s “Close to Me” is about one of those times, and the Close to Me sofa is all about that embrace. With an intriguing aesthetic appeal and strong yet warm character, Close to Me delivers an unmistakable feeling of hospitality. The volumetric construction expresses itself through soft, billowy cushions with a lived-in, “shabby-chic” elegance that’s endlessly welcoming. This classy and distinguished combination of form and comfort finds the perfect harmony between traditional hand-tailored precision and 21st-century style. Formal clarity and meticulous care are the creative signatures of Close to Me. The elliptical feet of the sofa serve not only their natural function but are also uniquely expressive sculptural details. The wraparound belt provides a visual and physical embrace that brings together the supple back and armrest cushions in an intimate gesture. The belt’s assiduously fashioned leather straps and metal clasps epitomize the quality of the exclusive finishes that enhance the charm of the collection.

Bringing the indoors to the outside is always filled with compromise. For many design takes a second place to comfort, for others it is vice versa. For Gino Carollo, compromise was never going to be an option. The outdoors should always have as much style and comfort as anything we produce for living indoors. Inspired by a bond with nature, Santos uses strong geometric lines to interweave and overlap to create a dynamic form. Using solid materials, treated to be protected all year round, function is a priority but never overshadows the strong design which bridges the desire between indoor and outdoor living. Just one look at this design and you’d be mistaken for a piece of furniture that would be welcome in any interior living space. That’s the point though, right? Why should the outdoors feel less enjoyable when in reality, it’s anything but the case.

If timeless glamour were an objective, then Auto-Reverse Dream may just be heading for its title. It embodies everything that makes the sofa range so unique, and places it into a new context, the most private in all of our lives, the bedroom. Here we sleep, recharge, dream, find love and enter into a total state of relax, so why can't we create an environment that befits all of these necessary requirements? We can, and Auto-Reverse assumes the emotional mantra of creating something that stirs all of the emotions; those of design and function, those of endless possibilities and those that are seeking something that becomes a statement to how we can achieve total comfort. The minimal structure, the hand-crafted materials, the reversible cushions and the limitless opportunities to create something unique with stitchings, zips, colour and material choices, all brought across from the stand alone couch design into the bedroom. This is what makes Auto-Reverse Dream a true design reality.

Starman Dream, it's time to think bigger.Connections, they are important. They provide an everlasting point between two or more ideas and concepts, these connections make what we do more than just a design principle - they are a reason to punch through our limitations and conceptualise something greater.
Starman is where our connection to Starman Dream begins; the later captures the elements that made the sofa the design feature it has become. Aggressive and powerful contours, curved lines coupled with contrasting material feels and concepts. In short, what we have created are two products with a clear connection to one another, that connection is about interior life - and living it uniquely.
Starman Dream is about that connection to something we can all imagine, it's time we started dreaming bigger.

Much like the sofa in our exclusive Arketipo style, Windsor plays with the emotional connections of the past and sets them in a new environment, the bedroom. A modern masterpiece that understands the balance between British austere elegance with new-age form and structure. The mixture of refined materials, handmade work and quilted upholstery is another ode to the unique design styling of this signature range. From each and every angle, this is a piece that understands how to capture your attention. Whether it is the "leit motif" created by buttons sunk into the upholstery forming rhombus patterns or the choice of material; velvet playing to your passionate side, leather to your more playful fashionable style, this is a style that understands there is no such thing as compromise on quality.

We dare you to look at, Amy and ask the question, why doesn't this throwback to 1970s design deserve a space in modern living? The answer is simple, it does. You are faced with a dilemma however, what do you look at first? Is it the cantilevered structure which creates a sense that you're floating whilst seated? Is it the seat designed with enveloping comfort and curvature in all the right places? Or Is it the slender and decisive armrests that contrast and compliment the eye-catching base? Amy may be an ode to the 1970s, but what a respectful way to bring back the best of design inspiring era.

Modern design and geometric interactions create a chair that expresses a new wave of formal elegance in furniture craftsmanship. Not unlike a basketball that has been split open, it encompasses a soft leather material that is subsequently stitched into the design providing an aesthetic and sensorial element, wildly contrasting with the three-dimensional metal framed base. In all, Victoria pursues beauty through conscious abstract lines detailing comfort throughout this revolutionary approach.

The Amond Console presents an elegant and balanced playof contrasts and references between the thickness of the
top and the metal base, marked by the absence of full
volumes and the original silhouette that resembles a
diamond. Indeed, it is this very alternation of blocks and
voids that makes the base appear to be suspended in
mid-air, conveying a sense of lightness, the same features
as the Amond table. The base is available in painted metal
or with a burnished finish, to give further overall
refinement. The top is proposed in a warm wooden version
or in sophisticated variants in ceramic. Together with its
balanced design, the geometrical lines and refined
proportions make Amond a furnishing (as well as
functional) element that is suitable to every living context.

Theduck is a surreal and functional coffee table, an ironicand fun metaphor of an unusual pet. “The picture of a
faithful duck sitting beside the sofa, with a coffee table
balanced on its head, ready to hold remote controls,
smartphones, books and magazines, was so absurd and
unlikely to me that I was immediately won over,” the
amusing comment by the designer, Alessandro Busana.
Thanks to the various colour options and its eccentric
nature, Theduck can be both bemusing and functional
anywhere in the home, from the living room to the
bathroom, in the bedroom and even the garden. The
plastic of which it is composed gives further informality
to this complement.

Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications:
Charlotte Perriand’s innovative designs are the expression of a new art de vivre that ran against the currents of the day. Hers is a design approach nourished by multidisciplinary activities, including a key role played by photography. In this art of living, Perriand pours her passion for observing Nature into the smallest, most revealing details. The Le Monde de Charlotte Perriand collection ‒ which began as a partnership between Cassina and Pernette Perriand-Barsac, Charlotte’s daughter and founder of her mother’s archives ‒ is inspired by the patterns in the photographs taken by Perriand between 1933 and 1934 and manufactured in partnership with Ginori 1735. Hand-decorated patterns for porcelain dinnerware that brings another of the designer’s passions to fruition ‒ ceramics ‒ matured in contact with the Japanese masters during the years she lived in the Far East. Le Monde de Charlotte Perriand collection is composed of a charger, dinner plate, soup plate and dessert plate, presented in sets of two, with three different decorations that can be mixed or matched. Engraved on the plates are the designs inspired by Charlotte’s photos. Here, the plates painted with the Tronc pattern depict the circular striations of a tree trunk that could be the face of a lemur or the sensual mouth of an Indian goddess. Or, in the Neige pattern, the contours of a snow slab in the cracks of a stone floor, captured on film in the Fontainebleau forest in 1934, elicit the likenesses of mythological animals or gorgons. Or, still, the fish bone on the Arête service that calls to mind a mysterious work tool. To ensure authenticity, each item is marked with the Cassina and Ginori 1735 logos.
