The underlying concept behind the Any Day family of tables and coffee/side tables dwells in the concept of subtraction.
The designer intentionally stripped the design of non-essentials, to then focus on “the details, the precise proportions and masterful execution, inherent features that inescapably define the quality of that object”.
The basic idea was to set a piece of wood on a simple metal structure. The first items to grow out of this concept were a coffee/side table and a console, followed by a dining table, desk and a series of cabinets.
The Any Day desk conceals practical invisible drawers while the series of Any Day cabinets comes in an array of configurations that satisfy many practical needs, and can be placed in different rooms in the home – from the entry to the living room and even the bedrooms.
All of the pieces are flawlessly finished, even on the back, so they can also be used as room dividers.

The structure of the Times Lounge armchair is made from solid ash in a moka or wenge stain. The wood has a visible circular cross section and an oval cross section for the lower connecting beams. The armchair cushion support embraces the wooden structure and is made from Pelle Frau® leather. A supporting technical textile located under the seat acts as a spring. The seat and backrest cushions are padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding while the armrests are padded with polyester wadding. The lining of the backrest and armrest cushions is stitched as a single element, the lining of the seat cushion is separate and attached to the rest of the lining. The cushions are secured to the structure using hidden zips and snap buttons. The cushions can also be covered with Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. In both cases the cover can be removed. An additional cover can be purchased separately.The structure of the Times Lounge pouf is in solid ash and is distinctive for its two circular-section stands at the sides connected by two oval-section bars which echo the design choices of the armchair. It is available with a moka- or wenge-stained finish. A band of Pelle Frau® leather forms the taut surface over which the second padded cover, in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, is positioned. The upholstery is available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. In both cases the upper padded cover can be removed.

The structure of the Leplì pouf is in birch plywood and poplar with uprights in solid beech and infill in kraftliner. In the version with storage compartment, the side shells are in moulded rigid polyurethane, the metal parts of the opening mechanism and the zips are in nickel-plated steel and zamak, and the lid is in birch plywood. The base is in poplar plywood with a scratch-resistant black lacquered MDF bottom. The seat is padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding (the model with storage compartment has polyurethane foam padding for the structure and lid). The Leplì poufs can be upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric with an ornamental leather band. When the upholstery is in leather the ornamental band is always the same colour as the pouf. In the leather version four folds originate from the central button of the seat to define the profile of the pouf. In the fabric version the folds are replaced by stitching.

Each one is a unique designer object, a true example of the art of blown glass. The glass is blown in an open mould consisting of steel strips. The molten glass is blown through the strips at different intensities resulting in a vase that is slightly, albeit visibly different each time. This coat-rack was originally created by Le Corbusier for the Cabanon, a summer-house on the Cote d’Azur that he designed in 1951 as a birthday present for Yvonne, his wife. This re-issue by Cassina is based on the 1957 version, which had been made for the Unités de Camping, which was next to the Cabanon. In line with the bright colours used for these minimal spaces, keyed on the compact comfort offered by a cruise-ship cabin, the coat-rack too was multi- hued. The base is made of oak, while the hooks are mushroom-shaped, and are placed at varying heights, based on the criteria established in the Modulor.
