Collection: Patrick Jouin
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: The first project of French designer Patrick Jouin for Cassina in 2003, the iconic, innovative Lebeau table was reinterpreted in 2017 in a tactile version with base in solid ash. Its fluid organic shape, achieved through a lengthy, meticulous process of curving and assembling the staves, was accomplished through the extraordinary ability and expertise of the Cassina joinery, which combined high-technology and artisan craftsmanship to produce a lightweight, sculptural architecture that blossoms like a flower. Today, Lebeau Outdoor continues on this evolving technical and aesthetic journey with a new version suited to outdoor living. It maintains the expressive originality of its archetype through the use of a material selected for its durability, light weight and long life: aluminium.Based on painstaking structural research, the table retains its iconic silhouette but with an updated design in which the number of staves is pared down from 22 to ten. Crafted in cast aluminium, their exquisite workmanship is especially noticeable in the ten veins that the designer intentionally left exposed inside the staves. In a crescendo of proportions, this architectural structure branches out from the central column with staves that become thinner as they converge toward the centre, creating an enchanting visual symphony as light passes through them. A lively dialogue between the tactility of the materials and the combination of expressive colours.

Specifications: Spider is a weave of different colours. Processing the polypropylene like a fabric with automatic looms, the three yarns - blue, burgundy and beige create a discreet and elegant tartan that goes with any furniture arrangement as well as upholstery in di!erent materials. The fibre is hi-tech, versatile and resistant. It guarantees the UV stability of the colours, respects human health and, being 100% recyclable with low environmental impact, is also eco-friendly.
Collection: Franco Albini
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Radio in Cristallo goes straight to the heart of the project that Franco Albini created as a prototype-model in 1938 for his home. He took apart and reassembled a radio in a wood cabinet received as a wedding gift, exposing the electric components by pressing them between two sheets of tempered glass. A tribute to lightness, a step that catapults the designer in the direction of bold modernity that, by demonstrating progress, narrates its value. In concert with Fondazione Franco Albini, Cassina has optimized the design the architect entered into a competition by the Swiss company Wohnbedarf in 1940, keeping the same size while adding new Bluetooth technology and an optional subwoofer that, connected to Wi-Fi, creates a more enveloping atmosphere. Radio in Cristallo will also be offered in a special limited edition of only five pieces. The Radio in Cristallo L.E., with a numbered metal plate on the side of the structure, will feature white knobs and an electronic circuit board with all hand-soldered circuits.
Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: In 1969, Charlotte Perriand designed a screen for the home of the Japanese ambassador to France. This allowed her to put her passion for the Far East to work. During her travels to the region, she gained many insights into the immense local artisan heritage. Charlotte Perriand, expert in designing furniture to meet the needs of its user, conceived the Paravent Ambassade screen to hide the door connecting the office to the salon de réception, a space that evoked a certain solemnity also because of the presence of a large sofa, over seven meters long, next to which the screen was placed. Due to a lack of budget to construct the screen, Perriand had the brilliant idea of reusing the discarded solid rosewood left over from the production of her Tabourets which she had cut into rectangular blocks to be connected with threaded rods. The result is an artist’s puzzle, a small architectural composition made from 313 hand-processed solid wood blocks, assembled one by one, held together by vertical tension rods and separated by anchors. A masterpiece of perseverance that, thanks to the great number of blocks, makes it possible to mold the screen into increasingly diverse shapes and articulate its movement with sinuousness like that of a micro-mesh.

Brand: Cassina
Specifications: The Tantra rug stems from the hand loom technique, in which production is carried out on a loom using entirely manual processes. Its geometric pattern, obtained by repeating a simple pattern memorized by the weaver, recalls the rigorous and accurate decorations that can be seen in many Indian temples where colour is used in a formal manner. Available in grey and blue-grey in a yarn made with a mix of viscose and recycled PET․
Collection: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Cassina launches an exclusive range of miniature versions of some of the icons from the Collection Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand®. Four chairs scaled 1:6, with the same new and authentic colours and the same soft and stiff leathers used for the models scaled 1:1; and as such aligning with the research conducted on the collection in collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier and the heirs of the co- authors. An ambitious project of precision and attention to detail executed by Italian craftsmen: a veritable miniaturisation of the Cassina originals.
Collection: Vico Magistretti
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: An international best-seller with warm, inviting shapes, where the back extends upwards to form a head-rest. The smooth, padded style, meantime, amplifies the sofa’s comfort quotient, affording myriad interpretations. Much imitated, Maralunga introduced the idea of an adjustable-height headrest, achieved by means of a bicycle chain embedded in the foam cushions. This avant-garde mechanism, patented by Cassina, makes the back cushion unfold and move upwards, to form a head-rest. In 2014, to celebrate Maralunga’s fortieth anniversary, Cassina undertook a further restyling, making the fabric upholstery removable for cleaning, while adding details such as the edge-stitching that confers a more contemporary look to a design classic. The Maralunga family includes an armchair, a footrest and two- or three-seater sofas in several widths.
Collection: Gerrit Thomas Rietveld
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Gerrit Rietveld came up with the design for the Utrecht armchair in 1935 while working for the Metz & Co. department store in Amsterdam, where his brief was to make a chair for serial production. Taking market needs into account, while privileging a comfortable and relaxing experience, led to the elements of the chair being treated as separate units. As a consequence, the chair became an icon of both the Neoplastic movement (aka De Stijl), and of Rietveld’s experimental vision. In 2015, the original version of the chair, without the feet, was made available alongside the one with, as part of the Mutazioni collection, and was relaunched with its dimensions adjusted to take account of changes in people’s height over the previous 80 years. The chair is also available in the Gerrit fabric, with blanket stich or zig-zag top-stitching, in both cases in five colours.
Collection: Vico Magistretti
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: A special edition upholstered by Kvadrat Febrik for the 100th anniversary of Magistretti. For the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vico Magistretti (2020), Cassina has paid tribute to the Milanese architect with a upholstery exclusively produced by Kvadrat Febrik that recalls the same pattern that upholstered the piece in the 1970s. Otterlo Stripes is a stretch velvet pinstripe fabric with a sumptuous, soft pile that, thanks to its knitted construction, elegantly clings to the curves of the Maralunga. Forty-five years after the launch of the original, and following on from the Maralunga 40 and its variant, the 40S with removable fabric covers, the Maralunga sofa takes the stage once more, its proportions updated, and its look restyled, becoming even more elegant and comfortable than before. Maralunga 40 Maxi is a contemporary take on this legendary best-seller by Cassina, which holds the technological patent for the device – a bicycle chain – that adjusts the angle of the back-rest. Supplied with the refined edge – stitching finish as standard, the Maralunga 40 Maxi armchair debuts a new size for its type: 122 cm. Meanwhile, the two-seater sofa comes in at 214 cm, with the three-seater measuring 310 cm. The depth has increased to 105 cm, to make for a more inviting and comfortable sitting position; all the models can be are fitted with a feather-filled seat cushion in a new size to enhance ergonomic correctness.
Collection: Gerrit Thomas Rietveld
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: A sculptural seat with a pure and rationalist form, this chair became an authentic Manifesto for Neoplasticism, embraced by the Dutch De Stijl movement in 1917. An outlook shared by Piet Mondrian, whose objective was to seek out the essential nature of things, combined with the harmonious equivalence of colours, and the use of right-angle. Rietveld produced his first prototypes in 1918, expressing the philosophy of organising space using the same colours for similar components. He later applied this same approach to separate out constructional elements according to their function. Thus the base was black, and the seats coloured. As a consequence, the name of the piece changed, from Slat Chair to Red and Blue.
Collection: Toshiyuki Kita
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Ergonomically correct and exquisitely versatile, Cassina’s Wink armchair cleverly unfolds into a chaise-longue. “Sitting on Wink means sitting on the floor and, when you are seated there, according to oriental tradition, your spirit rises,” explains designer Toshiyuki Kita. Its proportions of-the- moment, Wink has a multi-functional mission with a pop look, and can be personalised in either leather, or in an ample array of fabrics and colours, with more added regularly. The back, and head-rest can be adjusted by means of the handles on the side, these being available in a range of shades to match the front and back legs.
Collection: Kazuhide Takahama
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: A symbol of avant-garde construction ideas and experimentation, Tulu is a stackable sled-base chair designed in 1968 by Kazuhide Takahama on commission from Dino Gavina’s Simon company, which was acquired by Cassina in 2013, and is now known as Simon International. The Tulu chair offers an early example where, rather than bending a metal tube to make the frame, a thin rod was electric induction-welded before being given a chrome finish. This innovation made tighter curves possible, while leading to the use of multiple welding heads, enabling a piece to be made in one single process. When Simon International became part of the Cassina universe, the Tulu’s manufacturing process was revisited, and streamlined further. The seat and back have now been reinforced by the addition of elastic straps, while the padded cover was given a zip fastening, so it can be removed for cleaning. This chair has now been completely redeveloped and further improved by reinforcing the seat with a thermoformed seat and backrest with elastic straps, as well as inserting a wadding cover and zip that allows the upholstery to be removed.
Collection: Hommage À Pierre Jeanneret
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: This chair is one of the most recognisable in Chandigarh’s Capitol Complex, found throughout the offices of the Secretariat. The independent pieces, including the side bars in an inverted “V” supporting the armrests, are all made of solid wood. The woven backrest and seat, stretched across a wooden frame, are elements common in the area, much like the use of local woods like teak. Similar to the better-known office chair, this armless chair also uses the “V” approach to sidebars, in this case shorter as they do not extend to the arms. Importance, instead, is given to the seating/ backrest sequence in Viennese woven cane, connected with an immense geometric section supported by two wooden profiles, and coplanar legs, that together, are simple and yet, powerful at the same time. Cassina’s reissue offers the classic version in teak, and two versions in natural and stained black oak.
Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Nuage à Plots by Charlotte Perriand belongs to a select group of furnishings that are archetypal in the way of interpreting space. Inspired, like the original Nuage, by a series of floating shelves mounted on the walls of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, the bookcase is a rhythmic system of shelves and vertical elements (aluminum plots) connected and held together with tensioning rods and fixing anchors to form a modular piece of furniture. Two features differentiate this model from the original ‒ the single 33.5cm depth of the top, and the plots, left exposed without adding sliding doors and crafted of a single piece of curved aluminum that replace the classic sides and back, serving as vertical elements to separate the shelves. A system based on alternating negative and positive spaces, of wood and aluminum, of hot and cold. A versatile piece, with feet or wall-mounted, a source of inspiration for generations of designers.

Brand: Cassina
Specifications: The Japanese influence in the design of this geometric container is immediately evident. Like a Haori, the traditional Japanese jacket worn with a kimono, Hayama is characterised by the same formal cut which plays on volume and subtraction. The legs, oblique in relation to the main structure, are the distinctive element of this simple and elegant sideboard. Apparently minimal, its solid form is accentuated by thinned edges that lighten its appearance. Perfect for living and dining areas, Hayama has two doors and transparent glass shelves inside. Hayama is available in one size either in polished lacquer in a wide choice of colours. The piece is re-reading of the work of the architect Kazuhide Takahama who industrialized the antique lacquering tradition, expressing the clear desire to go beyond rationalism through the research of relations with the past.
Collection: Piero Lissoni
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Piero Lissoni’s design for this table is based on how light it looks and how strong and solid it really is. The essential lines of the Naan table are accentuated by the supremely slender rectangular top, which comes in at a mere 10 mm, and is available in a range of materials. Options include smoked oak, where the beauty of the wood is brought to bear thanks to a state-of-the-art manufacturing process. Exposed to very high temperatures, the wood becomes resistant to damp, while taking on a darker hue that sets off the natural vein. The wood becomes harder and more compact, while the colour leaches down into the wood, remaining unchanged over time. Cassina’s premier craftsmanship married with its industrial manufacturing prowess come together in a remarkable display of constructional mastery. The availability of extendable table-tops render the piece exceptionally versatile and suited to any setting.
Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Revolutionary as much as it is quite different from any other in terms of shape and potential, this multifunctional table is a perfect summation of Charlotte Perriand’s take on l’art de vivre. The structure consists of the simple but perfect placement of fourteen staves placed side-by-side, assembled with signature style by Cassina’s carpenters. Each of these elements combines into an extremely elegant, fan-shaped and versatile whole, lending itself to a dynamic and innovative applications whatever the situation. Depending on the choice of width of the central part, Ventaglio can, when used as a dining table, accommodate between five and nine guests. In the office, several people can sit round Ventaglio’s asymmetrical desk-top, with plenty of room for computers and other professional tools.

Collection: Charlotte Perriand
Brand: Cassina
Specifications: Both pieces are inspired by the mountains. While the latter takes its name from the milking-stool used by alpine shepherds, the former is inspired by the French locality much loved by designer and architect Charlotte Perriand. These furnishing accessories stand out for the honesty of their simple shapes and for the concrete expression of their materials and function. The turned seat meets the stylised legs both in the Tabouret Berger, a lower version with three legs in hand-turned solid wood, and in the taller Tabouret Méribel, which has three angular legs. Produced by Cassina thanks to a meticulous work of craftsmanship that respects the authenticity of the original design, these small masterpieces can be used on their own or in creative compositions. The use of solid wood communicates a pleasant sense of softness, and we see the continuity of the grain right the way across the seat to the borders, nature creating a unique pattern on each.
