The philosophy of Quintessenza lies in the name of the brand, which comes from Latin words “Quinta”, meaning a number 5, and “essentia”, meaning “essence”. The full word “quintessence” came from Aristotle, who claimed that it meant aether. In the times of his presence, the alchemists divided the material world into 4 elements: water, air, earth, and fire.
It was believed that purer and refined matter existed above it all, which was the fifth element, or the quintessence.
