Cotto d’Este has its showroom in Milan, Italy, where everyone can look and feel what type of product Cotto d’Este is capable of creating. That is also a space where everybody can have a meeting with the professionals of the company to discuss their project, needs, and wishes.
How it all started
The company is managed by Paolo Mussini, who Founded Cotto d’Este in 1993, in the heart of the tile industry of Italy – Sassuolo. Being born and raised here meant that ceramics are a family tradition. Paolo’s deep knowledge of the ceramic industry came from being a part of Panaria – a tile manufacturing company established by his father in 1974. Here Paolo gained his experience and discovered a passion for ceramics manufacturing. Although the market started to adapt to standardization quickly in the 90s, Paolo was all about originality and high accuracy in every field – aesthetics, technical quality, functionality, material. Such attention to detail let him improve in making floor and wall tiles that could meet the taste of the most exceptional clients.
Cotto d’Este’s ultimate goal has always been to achieve beauty together with unquestionable quality.
Inspired by the best clientele
Inspired by nature, Cotto d’Este continuously implements experimentation with different methods of producing and using various raw materials. On a hunt for a new original tone of color, effect, and surface the brand always results with products that stand out. Thus, research is one of the most important factors for such results. To meet the needs and the requirements of the demanding and intelligent clients with the best taste in style, the company is continually inventing new methods of production.
Cotto d’Este made a revolution inside the ceramic tile industry as it was the first company to introduce the market to the exceptional super thick 14 mm porcelain stoneware as well as thin Kerlite plates. It was a start of a new, innovative look at creating home design. High technical performance was not a verdict to refuse a personal style. On the contrary, from that point, the two were balanced together perfectly – high-quality functionality and individual style.

I came across to LineaSelect by mistake and one day I sent them an email to see if they can help me with Devon&Devon bathroom items.
The staff was friendly and our communication easy, with both Aiste and Jaunius, very professional.
Today I received the items and I must say I am impressed. They are exactly as described on the website.

I had a disappointing experience with Lineaselect at first. After confirming and paying for a binding offer that included a fixed delivery timeframe, I was informed six days later that the manufacturer was currently unable to deliver the product. I was offered to either cancel the order or wait for a new, undefined lead time.
While communication remained polite, the handling of the situation initially felt unprofessional. Accepting payment and confirming delivery, only to withdraw the offer days later, raised concerns about reliability.
Update:
After this rocky start, Lineaselect made every effort to arrange delivery as quickly as possible. In the end, I have to say it turned out to be a positive overall experience. The team was responsive and tried hard to find a good solution.
