The Chester’s spring system consists of steel biconical springs, positioned by hand and attached to jute belts on a supporting structure of seasoned beechwood. The seat is padded with rubberised horsehair while the backrest and armrests are in hand-shaped vegetable horsehair. The seat cushions are in goose down. The feet can be spherical or high with finishes in beech with dark walnut stain or lacquered black beech. They are also available in leather-covered wood.

Luxurious stitching runs along the entire external surface of the backrest and armrests, upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather. The seat cushions, in turn, are embellished with delicate X-shaped hand-stitching using contrasting thread. The springs of the seat are supported and held in place by a structure of handwoven saddle-leather belts. The blade-shaped feet are made from steel with galvanic treatment and Ruthenium finish. The backrest and armrest panels, made from steel with light polyurethane foam padding, are joined together by visible metal hinges with Ruthenium finish. Goose down for the soft padding of the armrest and backrest cushions. The items of the Clayton collection can be completely upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or in Pelle Frau® leather combined with the wide range of Poltrona Frau fabrics.The Clayton swivel armchair has a large, comfortable seat. The 4-spoke swivel base is in steel with galvanic treatment and Ruthenium finish. It is equipped with a mechanism that enables the chair to swivel 360° and return to its original position.

The backrest shell is formed from moulded polyurethane foam with light padding in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The seasoned beechwood seat is padded with polyurethane foam and pressed felt and has a spring system consisting of elastic belts. The seat cushions are in goose down with polyurethane foam stabilising insert to reduce the sinking effect without compromising on comfort. The four feet are made from solid ash in a wenge stain or moka ash. The high version of the Arabesque armchair comes complete with headrest made from rigid polyurethane with moulded polyurethane foam padding. The backrest and seat structure is in moulded rigid polyurethane with metallic insert and padding in polyurethane foam. The cushions are in thermoformed ABS plastic with the application of polyurethane foam padding. Tubular metal with gunmetal grey or burnished and blasted finish for the armrests: in the area that supports the elbows they are lightly padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in hand-stitched Pelle Frau® leather. The Arabesque armchair is upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or elegant combinations of leather and fabric.
