The design of the Martha armchair is based on the encounter of the two main elements of the frame, both in moulded rigid polyurethane. The seat and armrests form part of a single sinuous open profile, the two extremities projecting outwards. The curved and slightly padded backrest appears to float in the air but is actually fixed to the frame with a hidden system. The entire product is supported by a triangular-section wooden easel structure. The seat’s slight incline towards the back ensures optimal comfort and emphasises the armchair’s dynamic design. The four-legged base is made from solid ash available in the Wengé and Moka finishes.
The colour effects and material combinations emphasize the fluidity and lightness of Martha. The outside of the frame is upholstered with a rich shell of Saddle Extra Leather while the inside can be covered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. The combination of the two materials is emphasised by the elegant visible-contrast hand-stitching. A soft seat cushion with removable cover in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric completes the product.

The Chester’s spring system consists of steel biconical springs, positioned by hand and attached to jute belts on a supporting structure of seasoned beechwood. The seat is padded with rubberised horsehair while the backrest and armrests are in hand-shaped vegetable horsehair. The seat cushions are in goose down. The feet can be spherical or high with finishes in beech with dark walnut stain or lacquered black beech. They are also available in leather-covered wood.

Luxurious stitching runs along the entire external surface of the backrest and armrests, upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather. The seat cushions, in turn, are embellished with delicate X-shaped hand-stitching using contrasting thread. The springs of the seat are supported and held in place by a structure of handwoven saddle-leather belts. The blade-shaped feet are made from steel with galvanic treatment and Ruthenium finish. The backrest and armrest panels, made from steel with light polyurethane foam padding, are joined together by visible metal hinges with Ruthenium finish. The cushions are in thermoformed ABS plastic with the application of polyurethane foam padding. The edge of the saddle leather surface is embellished with elegant visible contrast stitching. The Assaya pouf is available entirely upholstered in fabric or in Pelle Frau® leather. The side table has a light padding in polyurethane foam on the underside. Here too the edge of the saddle-leather surface is decorated with visible contrast stitching.
