Specifications:
A well-balanced and sophisticated presence, imposing yet not ostentatious, based on the contrast between the warmth of the glass diffuser – which is hand blown using a craft-based process – and the technology of the metal tripod. A further take on the concept of the classic bedside table, Lumiere XXS and XXL stands out for a clearer and more marked look compared to the “historic” Lumiere.
Rodolfo Dordoni was born in 1954 in Milan, where he obtained his architecture degree at the Politecnico in 1979 and where he still works as a designer. He runs two creative studios: his design office, Rodolfo Dordoni, and Dordoni Architetti, founded with Alessandro Acerbi and Luca Zaniboni, devoted to residential, industrial and commercial spaces, shops, showrooms, hotels, restaurants, yachts, and exhibition stands in Italy and abroad. Dordoni's projects are characterised by a rational approach, essential forms, rigorous geometries, attention to detail and overall high quality. During his university years, he developed a friendship with fellow student Giulio Cappellini. This bond translated into a long-standing professional association as artistic director of the Cappellini brand for over ten years. His successful projects include the Cuba 25 sofa and sofa bed collection and the Aliante bookcase designed with Giulio Cappellini.
