Designed in 1939 by Mario Asnago and Claudio Vender, the Moka chair has been part of the Flexform collection since 1985, and now comes back in a totally relevant outdoor version. The striking modernity of the original design, dense with design references to the rationalist movement, is now interpreted in innovative materials chosen for their outstanding weather-resistant qualities. The slender, sophisticated structure of the Moka Outdoor chair is made of tubular austenitic stainless steel 316, also available with epoxy powder-coated white, khaki green, wine red or burnished finish. The backrest features an elegant X-design while the seat is made of woven polyester fiber or woven polyurethane rubber in a color palette that ranges from earth tones to bordeaux and olive green. The Moka Outdoor chair also comes in a version with structure in solid iroko with natural finish, or lacquered white or stained grey finish and rests on die-cast metal alloy tips and nylon pads. It is strongly advised that the respective covers be used to keep the Moka Outdoor chairs in top condition and prolong their original beauty as much as possible.

The same materials and finishes are used in every item of the collection. First and foremost the original upholstery of the shell, which combines Pelle Frau® leather on the inside with Cuoio Saddle Extra leather on the outside, with contrast stitching around the edges. A version entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather is also available. In this case the stitching has tone-on-tone thread.
For all elements in the Montera series the shell is produced from moulded steam-curved and -pressed beech plywood. Polyurethane foam padding. The legs of the Montera chair, armchair and h66 and h74 stools are in solid ash wood with a wenge or moka stain, with black nylon spacers. The Montera stackable chair has a 4-legged steel base in the evocative blasted and burnished finish which gives new warmth to the metal. This is also upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather and a two-tone version is also available on request.

The Downtown chair is available in five versions: President, Executive, Managerial, Meeting and Visitor. The upholstery, embellished with tone-on-tone or contrast stitching, is in Pelle Frau® leather, also available in a version with micro-perforations on the inside surface of the backrest, the armrests and the cushion. In the President, Executive, Managerial and Meeting versions the base, in polished or black lacquered aluminium, is composed of five spokes with soft automatic braking “W” swivel castors that adapt to all kinds of floor. The Visitor version, meanwhile, has a four-spoke base with plastic swivel glides which are also available for the other models on request. The Downtown chairs are height-adjustable and can be swivelled by pulling up the lever underneath the seat on the right. The President, Executive and Managerial versions come with the “Syncron” oscillation mechanism for the backrest and seat, which enables the chair to adjust to the body of the user, supporting their movements and providing extraordinary comfort. The chair’s mechanism allows it to be locked into four different positions. Downtown Meeting can swivel thanks to a thrust bearing. Downtown Visitor is equipped with a swivel mechanism with automatic return whose thrust bearing allows the chair to rotate and return to its original position.
